I absolutely devoured Embers and Shadows! From the very first page, I was hooked on Aurora’s journey—a seemingly normal dancer who suddenly finds herself at the heart of an ancient prophecy. The mix of danger, romance, and magic is perfectly balanced, and I loved watching Aurora grow into her powers while juggling five VERY swoon-worthy supernatural protectors. 😍
Each love interest brings something unique to the table—a vampire, wolf shifter, incubus, Faye, and mage—and the chemistry? Off the charts. If you’re into medium-burn reverse harem stories with slow-building tension and just the right amount of spice, this book delivers.
The world-building was immersive without being overwhelming, and the pacing kept me turning pages late into the night. Fans of ACOTAR, The Cruel Prince, and Serpent & Dove will feel right at home here. I seriously can’t wait to dive into book 2!
Highly recommend for anyone who loves urban fantasy, steamy romance, and badass heroines who don’t back down from destiny.

This book is amazing. Beautifully written A. Jean has a real flare for her use of descriptive prose and and engaging dialogue. Nothing seems expository it's just breadcrumbs drawing you into the narrative. It's a real page turner an exciting plot with lots of suspense, mystery, dark romance, supernatural beings and psychological drama all mixed together. It's a must read if you like a fun adventure fantasy worlds. And it's part of a series so I look forward to reading more of it. I could even see this being made into a series for streaming it's that good.
